Hemel Hempstead (note the spelling) is in Hertfordshire, roughly 25 miles north west of London. It was developed in the 1950's as a London overspill 'new town' around an already existing small town. It has quite good shopping facilities and employment opportunities. Good links to London by train. It is a long way from Plymouth!

Hi

Hemel Hempsted is in Hertfordshire, just off the M1. From Plymouth the easiest way would be to get yourself onto the M5 then M4,M25 and then M1. By train it would be into and out of London unfortunately. Have a look on http://www.multimap.com for full directions. I would reckon on a good day it would take about 3-4 hours by car and is about 200-220 miles. Hope this helps.

Get the spelling right first... Hemel Hempstead is in the north west of London, near St Albans, not far away from the M25. But the real question is why on earth you would want to go there from sunny Plymouth, except maybe to experience its famous magic roundabout!! (also known as the Plough roundabout)

no
How on earth would i know where hamel
your hampster is?
er...start...try looking in your cat
or somewhere first Man!
