Shepton Mallet is about 25mins from Bath, I live in Radstock which is about 15mins away, its a very small place, with not alot happening there to be honest.

In Somerset 5 Miles (8Km) to the East of Wells.Shepton Mallet Prison, known as Cornhill was known to British Servicemen as "The Glasshouse".Kray twins were kept there while serving out their National Service.Prison closed 1930-1939,at the start of the second world war it was used for protective storage of important government Documents,including Magna Carta and the Domesday book.

Somerset. Great place but the bus service is absolutely horrid -you need a car or use a taxi. If I remember right theres a stream running right down the middle of the HighStreet-very unusual!!
