Where is the best place to go in Manchester on a sunny day?
I'd like somewhere to go on a sunny day like today. It must be green, quiet and maybe with some water. Additional Details I was hoping for something more specific. Like the name of a great park or area.
Well I live right across the road from Heaton Park in Prestwich-it's a huge park with lots to do,plenty of quiet places. It has the Hall,a boating lake, some smaller lakes & streams,a petting zoo, various monuments and lots of green open spaces. And no matter how busy it is you can always find somewhere isolated and peaceful because of how big it is!

Heaton Park.

Heaton Park is amazing!! I've only just discovered it ..... get on the bury tram, its only about 3 stops and get off at Heaton Park Station.
When you come out of the station, the park is across the road.

Try the Lake District - hopefully should be far enough away from the grim decaying mill town of Manchester!
