I love Devon. If the weather is nice there is always Dartmoor and Dartmeet and there are some lovely beaches as well |

the west country. Which is Cornwall and Devon. So beautiful with a wild coast, Small fishing villages and great beaches. Newquay is great for night life. Really good surfing to. |

Looe, in Cornwall is always a popular place to holiday with kids, and is a traditional seaside resort, with sandcastles on the beach, crabbing off the harbour wall, and many nice places nearby to visit, like The Wooly monkey sanctuary, Dobwalls Adventure park, Porfell Animal farm, The Eden Project, Ben's Playworld, (if the weather's wet ) Polperro's Gullivers Kingdom, and not far away isCornwall's own theme park, Flambards. We always took our kids to Looe on holiday, and loved it there so much, we now live just 5 miles away. There are also lots of caravan parks nearby.
Edit....... Avoid Haven sites, they are veeeery expensive, a week in July will set you back around £900-00. Try and find a nice family run site instead. |

St Ives is nice in Cornwall. You can also take a 30 min drive to Lands End. |

I think anywhere in Scotland is an experience with the majesic scenery all around. Edinburgh would be my choice of a holiday in the UK. |

It depends how old your kids are.
If your kids are not yet teenagers, my advice is buy a family tent and go to Scotland or Wales (or stay in Northern Ireland if you're already there).
As long as you take a ball and a pack of cards, a torch and a couple of spare blankets, as well as your normal camping equipment, you'll have a right laugh.
If you haven't any camping equipment, either borrow some, or go into millets, blacks or similar. |

have you thought about looking at the haven parks ? you can make it fairly cheap if you book one of their standard caravans.
devon cliffs is a really busy park that has loads and loads to do.bit too much to mention really. burnham on sea is a quieter park with fishing lakes, but there is things for the kids still. ie; multi-sports courts, tennis courts , swimming pool and clubs etc. |
