At the risk of being slightly biased, I think there is nowhere as nice as N E Scotland.
It has everything you could want. From mountains, beaches, castles, lochs & even monsters (well, maybe not monsters).
The people are friendly, there is less traffic & the pace is a little slower. Great for a holiday but better as a home.

Norfolk most definately. Norwich is a great city and the broads are spectacular.

Curious driver!
Manchester is fantastic for shopping and generally havin a great day out! Don't limit yourself to one place. Travel around and you'll make the most of it! It's really easy to travel around especially if you hire a car etc. Also, you cannot beat London for an all-rounder.

Have a good time whatever you do!
