Belgravia is one of the most expensive.

Holland Park is where Madonna lives! (or lived...not sure if she still does, but I used to see her there)

St. John's Wood & Maida Vale are pretty pricey, too.

: )

I can only go by monopoly, I think Mayfair and Park Lane are the most expensive.

Hello there; I hope you do get the chance to come back and visit London again. =D

The most expensive part of London is the part of Kensington by Kensington Palace.
Kensington Palace Gardens is London's most expensive street (priced by £ per square foot).
Nearby, in Upper Phillimore Gardens, a house sold for £80 million in February.
But the most expensive sale yet in London took place in March, when a flat in 8 St James’s Square sold for more than £115 million.
(That street is between Downing Street, where the Prime Minister's house is, and Buckingham Palace: here... http://www.multimap.com/maps/?hloc=GB|8%20St%20James's%20Square,%20London#map=51.50809,-0.13473|17|4&loc=GB:51.50809:-0.13473:16|SW1Y%204JU%20|SW1Y%204JU.)

I've found you a link to that story here: http://property.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/property/article3559490.ece

And here's a list of London's 15 most expensive streets, priced by the estate agent Savills: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/property/main.jhtml?xml=/property/2008/02/16/pbillion116.xml&page=3

Love from a Londoner born and bred.

Do you mean, where is the most expensive area in London?

Well, it's either Mayfair of Knightsbridge.

As for expensive places - try Harrods of Knightsbridge.

Unfortunately the Savoy Hotel on the Strand (nice and expensive) is closed this year for refurbishments.

Never mind, there's always the Ritz Hotel on Piccadilly - another expensive place.
