Where to find cheap place to live in LONDON?

I am in the UK but not in London. I am going to London for 4 years now for my part time degree. I am planning to study and work at the same time. Where can i find a good but cheaper place to live in Central LOndon or somewhere in London? I am talking about shring with families or anything which makes me safe and saves my money!

Please help.

You could buy local London newspapers to see adverts for places that are for rent. If you are happy to have a room in a shared house it will be much cheaper than getting a flat on your own. Otherwise, do you have friends you could share with to bring the rent down? Look at areas near where you are studying and then you will save money on travelling too, although if that is central London the rent will be higher. Look at what you want, where you want to be, and then, and most important, what you can afford. Be sensible and be safe. Good luck.

You need to talk to the accomodation department at the place you are studying at, they can give you the best advice for the area. They may also have a list of available places.

Get a copy of TIME OUT London, or go on th website. They advertise tons of flatshres and tons of accomodation agents to help but "cheap" London is not the same as "cheap" anywhere else in th UK!

a hostle? i dont really know. but it really is cheaper to share a flat/house. my sister was paying £500 per month for a tiny flat with a living room/bedroom<< thats right no proper bed room, but you can get 2 bedroom flats for £7-800 which works out so much cheaper if you share!
good luck xx

Wembley is ideal place and cheapest. the avg weekley homestay is £ 65-90 depending on the room size plus travels if your college is in zone 1 but good connections from all part of london, it's multi cultural place with people from all parts of world living together here.
