Edinburgh by far.
The Old and New Towns of Edinburgh are UNESCO World Heritage Sites

The New Town, a central area of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, is often considered to be a masterpiece of city planning, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Although still referred to as the New Town, it was built in stages between 1765 and around 1850, and retains much of the original neo-classical period architecture.

Its most famous street is Princes Street, facing Edinburgh Castle and the Old Town across the geographical depression of the former Nor Loch. The Old and New Towns were together designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995.

Preparing the ground
The decision to construct a New Town was taken by the city fathers, after overcrowding inside the Old Town city walls reached breaking point. The Age of Enlightenment had arrived in Edinburgh, and the outdated city fabric did not suit the modern thinkers who lived there. Lord Provost George Drummond succeeded in extending the boundary of the Royal Burgh to encompass the fields to the north of the Nor Loch, the heavily polluted water body which occupied the valley immediately north of the city. A scheme to drain the Loch was put in to action, although the process was not fully completed until 1817. Crossing points were built to access the new land; the North Bridge in 1772, and the Earthen Mound, which began as a tip for material excavated during construction of the New Town. The Mound, as it is known today, reached its present proportions in the 1830s.

As the successive stages of the New Town were developed, the rich moved northwards from cramped tenements in narrow closes into grand Georgian homes on wide roads. However, the poor remained in the Old Town.

Glasgow is known to have some of the most stunning architecture in the world, all edinburgh has is the castle and thats it.

Glasgow is a beautiful city, Edinburgh has been found out now as a one-trick-poney.

Io Donna, Italy
“Città scozzese più glamour del momento.” ("Glasgow is Scotland's most glamorous city")

National Geographic Channel, USA
“If there’s an inspirational spirit looming over the city’s renaissance, it’s Mackintosh”

The Boston Globe, USA
"If you love wonderful architecture, Glasgow is your beat"

Time Magazine, USA
“Brimming with style and culture, Scotland’s biggest city is a revelation.”

Time Magazine, USA
“Brimming with style and culture, Scotland’s biggest city is a revelation.”

Glasgow, Glasgow, Glasgow!!!

EDIT for the person posting after me;
How does Glasgow being bigger than Edinburgh mean Edinburgh has better architecture? That makes no sense what so ever! So going by that does that mean that Motherwell has even better architecture as Motherwell is smaller than Edinburgh...

Glasgow. The only thing Edinburgh has is the Castle. Princes Street used to be full of lovely shops, but now is looking very run down. Glasgow is by far the best.

I think both cities have very good architecture but I feel if I had to choose it would be Glasgow.

I would choose Glasgow because lot's of the buildings are just stunning and Charles Rennie Macintosh has lot's of amazing work there. I guess that's why Glasgow's Scotland with Style
