Try the Munroe mountains, link at the bottom

I like Goat Fell in Arran..............it's a great walk, not too strenuous and the view at the top is unbelievable.

I personaly think you can't beat the view from the three sister across Glen Coe, always a magical place in my opinion.

Liathach in the Torridon range is my favourite, a very exposed ridge scramble between 2 munroe sized summits.
Beinn Alligin and Beinn Eigh are both beatiful too.

Torridon is the BEST !

gypsy
All of them in The Glencoe Pass - amazing.

If you're looking for a good walk and venture up a Scottish mountain, you can't go far wrong with the West Highland Way and Ben Nevis.

You start at Milngavie in Glasgow, walk to Fort William via Loch Lomond, stunning scenery along the way, and if you've enough energy after the walk, there's a 'donkey trail' which zig-zags up Ben Nevis to the top, and as the UK's highest mountain you'll find that it's a pretty breathtaking view from the top.

Other than that, try Ben Lomond, any of the Munroes, and my personal favourite is Buchaille Etive Mor in Glencoe, our 2nd tallest climb. It really is a picture postcard moment and you'd really love it.

Just set yourself a base in Glasgow, head north and you'll be spoilt for choice!

Get up into the Cairngorms all kinds of levels of walk. Some of the most stunning scenery in the world.

Try this link www.cairngorms.co.uk

Oh and be prepared for any weather you would be amazed how many lifes are lost and endangered because basic mountain survival and common sense is ignored.

I've walked a few, but to look at it must be Glencoe. Devil's staircase is a short walk and you can continue along the West Highland Way for a while.

Ben Nevis is a fairly easy climb, albeit the highest mountain in the UK. It takes a few hours though.

The view from the top of Ben A'an is stunning, due to the colours of the heather alongside Loch Katrine. In autumn time it is spectacular.

The walking part is never particularly stunning, as all the mountains in Scotland are pretty small in comparison to the Alps or the Andes.

AVIEMORE!! without a doubt, my grandpa took me there a couple of years ago when i was 18ish, because im a BIG travis fan and the front cover for their album called The Man Who was shot there, its a breath taking place, and im fortunate enough to have seen a few of the wonders of the world, but nothing beats aviemore... i went in the winter and there was snow everywhere and stags and deer covered the mountains, and the lakes looked incredible , it's certainly very picture-esque... i know a lot of people go hiking out there in the slightly warmer months, but in the winter the place is covered in people ski-ing! so im guessing it must be fantastic to walk out there.... hope this helps!

that one is easy! Ben Nevis, it is beautiful and when you get to the top you can really say your head is in the clouds.

And when you have finnished you will feel like you are walking on "cloud nine"

I have walked the Ben for the Ulster Cancer Foundation.

All the Mountains and scenery around them but I think Ben Nevis is the most Beautiful Mountain also Highest. The area surrounding the mountain is beautiful and breathtaking, Also if you can visit Glen Coe., you will not be disappointed. The rescue teams are very good so you can be confident when walking or climbing. Please be safe and Enjoy SCOTLAND

Send for a tourist pack...and great walks of scotland.

Mind you the mount of earth in my back garden is starting to look stunning with all the rapeseed seeds blown off the field last year. Horrible stuff......

Advice: For the mozzies Avon's 'Skin So Soft' lotion apply to keep the damn mozzies at bay. Now recognised as THE best product to ward off the buzzing blighters.

My favourite...The Cullins Sky and Glen Coe.....makes the hairs on the back of the neck stand on end especially when you read about the battle between the Campbells and the MacDonalds...stirring stuff.

And all of this said by a SoothMoother (South of the Border) living in Bonnie Scotland for some twenty five years.

PS Another piece of trivia.... Jimmy Savill has or had a wee cottage right in the middle of the valley in Glen Coe.
