Which local accent irritates you most ?

i personally think central lancashire and in particular burnley to be quite offensive to my ear drums ! and the most phoney accent has got to be aberdeen, so which accent really drives you up the wall ??

Birmingham, can't stand the sound of it,

I hate the fake urban accent. So, all the kids in England sound like they're from Brixton in the 70's. How can that be???

awwwwwww my mate comes from burnley and i love her accent .... i really struggle with people from glasgow as thye speak fast and it is very strong.. i have to say i love the manc accent

Greg
Not so much a regional accent but the very upper class 'to good to talk to the likes of you' accent.

tessie two
that depends if you are a northerner or southerner, eh Las / dunnit mate?

Northerners hate cockney accents and vice verca.

Don't know where that leaves good old Norfolk, Welsh or Cornish accents though?

Personally I can't stand harsh Glaswegian, dim sounding Norfolk and Bristol / Devon and after a (very short) while the Liverpudlian accent gets on my nerves!

What is there left to like? Sorry!

The Plymouth accent. I live down here although i'm from the midlands, and it's really high pitched and irritating.

The Devonshire accent ain't so bad, just Plymouth.

Brummy, it's like 2 lots of nails down a blackboard.........sorry

Anything north of Watford is whingy and whiney.

Anything east of London is common as muck.

Anything in East Anglia sounds like a yokel (Compooter !)

Londoners put it on most of the time.

Anything west of Reading sounds like Wurzel Gummidge.

I speak proper English from 'ampshire don't you know.

?
yorks accent gets on my nerves and brummie.

I think the Northern Irland accent is particularly harsh and very hard to understand, so is the Scottish accent.
