It is widely speculated that the reason we are so attracted to foreign accents is a result of evolution to prevent inbreeding. So depending on where you are from, other accents will sound more attractive then your own.

Many ancient civilizations would only allow you to marry someone who spoke an entirely different dialect.

Personally I like strong English and Australian accents.

Any man with an accent can work it... it has to do with his own sex appeal. By the same token, any man with any accent can bungle an attempt to flirt with a woman :-) Accent or not, a jerk is a jerk and a guy who doesn't know how to talk to a woman is still a guy who doesn't know hot to talk to a woman, but a man who makes eye contact without being sleezy and compliments you without making you feel like you've been slimed... that's sexy in any accent.

it depends who's listening..I like all accents..Not too keen on the American twang..but to hear french or Italians speaking English is great..my wife is Russian .and to hear her speak English is funny and sexy at the same time..I have many foreign friends and when they talk to me in English I find it very fascinating..I think I must say the French accent is the most evocative and sexy..

Mas
Scottish, but then being Scottish im biased!! The accents of the Highland and Islands is really nice, especially those from Stornoway, its a very gentle, lilting accent which you could just fall into.

I think Irish or Northern Irish accents are totally hot. I'm British and I don't find mine attractive at all. But thats just me.

I looove the Northern Irish accent (not Ian Paisley's though, he's a bit OTT)

And while I'm at it, how come if they put a Brit in a US TV programme (eg CSI) they always have a really posh accent?
They're never West Country Yokel or a Scouser or a Geordie!

Smiler uk
Personaly i findthe welsh & auastralian accents a turn on. were all different though so look out.
