What are these "Northern Islands" - those north of Scotland or do you mean Northern Ireland which is not a place in the UK - it's a country ! ! !

Belfast is in Northern Ireland....which is what I think you mean. There are loads of great places in Northern Ireland especially on the North Antrim coast...too many to name really. But the Giants causeway is a world heritage site.

All of those places are pretty safe. :-)

Have to say Aberdeen but only because it's 15 miles away!
It's as safe as anywhere else nowaday's and it does have a
beach......though you certainly would'nt catch me on it in any
swimming trunks ;
Well it is the North Sea...bloody freezing and that's in the summer ; )

I should be doing something else
Belfast without a doubt.

Aberdeen isn't even worth a visit.

monty
Aberdeen.

Hmmm, you see I'm biased here cos I live in Belfast but I love it (what do you mean by the way about best to place "safety" wise ... lol). Belfast is safe!

Good old folk irish music always the best!

I'm from Northern Ireland, and love the countryside and the people. Belfast as with any city, can be a bit dangerous at night if you're alone and in the wrong area. But that's just the world we live in now.

sosgez
Northern Islands ? Do you mean Shetland and Orkney ?

I'd pick Orkney.

cadetskydome
I like Aberdeen. You'd like it too if you were a fan of touring castles. There are tons in the area!

Paul M
Aberdeen.
