Sir Terrance DeCat.

Which of the follow holiday destinations would you recommend?

I am planning my annual holiday and have narrowed my choice of destination to three. Could you please rate them, in order of preference, along with reasons why (if any).

1. Kingston-Upon-Hull.
2. Sellafield.
3. Worksop.

As a cultural alternative, you could try the area hailed as The Dead Centre of the Midlands, i.e. Kidderminster.
Highly recommended is a tour of the derelict carpet factories.

How about a cruise around the isle of dogs? A romantic tour of the M25 rates high on my list too, as does navigating the spaghetti junction on a unicycle. Have you ever been to Walsall? Another hot holiday destination...

sir terence..

i would say that swimming would be the key to your enjoyment.

therefore i would say

1) sellafield - you would return with a healthy glow

2) kingston-upon-hull for a bracing dip in the humber (followed by a fight with the dick head locals no doubt)

3) worksop - probably has a source of water but i don't know where or what.

some of our friends from liverpool often show adventurous tendancies when selecting their destination and venture abroad to a land called north wales.
there they can indulge in swimming in their own sh## as opposed to normally just living in it.

Sir Terrance. You have picked the three crown jewels of British holiday towns. Personally I have never visited so can only answer your question through 'hearsay'. Each has its own peculiar delights, but Sellafield will leave you all aglow with a visit. Hull, well, Hull seem a fishy place to go to but has a large 'sole'. Workshy is ok, but all things considered I think I would rather stay at home sticking hot pins in my eyes than holiday in any of them. Have a great time.

Sellafield has nice empty beach's, a bit cold though to swim and the fish have three heads. Could rain (90% probablity in a 7 day period). You may notice a strange highly secure building there. If you see people on the beach with giger counters looking worried go home early.

Are you a Isambard Kingdom Brunel fan? (your pic)
Look out for the 'open doors' weekend some time in oct I think.
(check on the net) as many citys allow people to see inside buildings, boats etc for free. Lots to see.

myenzo
Sellafield ,because the holiday will leave you with a glow .

have only been to hull and it seems ok -its "re-generating" apparently, plus with your holiday spending money you could probably buy a nice little boarded -up 2 up 2 down for about 50 quid-seriously tho there is some great countryside around there and it is a university town so a bit cosmopoltan -(I think )

Re-think your destinations ;o)

'Er indoors!!
I don't fancy any of your choices, they all seem like strange holiday destinations, (are you winding us up?) I do believe Selafield is near to the Lake District, perhaps you could stay in the Lakes, and visit Selafield for the day? I've heard Dudley's nice!!!!!
