I've travelled quite a lot around Britain and it must be St. Ives - it is like a piece of Italy dropped on the British shores. Fantastic! Oxford/Cambridge/Bath would probably be close contenders. |

Cardiff Wales. A fabulous 'small' city with great warm people and lots and lots of things to see in the city limits and nearby in the countryside.

Chester - although it is a city not a toem.
Great place on iys own and ideal for a base to visit / see the North West.
Nice walk by the river or along the Roman Walls. Excellent Zoo, good pubs and plenty of shops.
Something for everyone - what else could you ask for. |

There are so many, but one of my favorites has to be York. It's surrounded by picturesque villages, amazing history and great shopping and nightlife, the people in the north are friendly too.
The town center has the most amazing architecture from the middle ages. |
