Show all answers

Grace - baby No.2 due in October
My favourite is the Yorkshire accent or somewhere like Bolton or Wigan - a proper ripe northern accent - like Peter Kaye!! brilliant!!

the worst and most annoying for me - LIVERPOOL!!!!!!!! ohhhhhhh my word - nothing more annoying than a liverpudlian accent - somehow though its the womans liverpudlian accent that is so much worse!!

anyone that thumbs me down is surely from Liverpool!!!

Geordie is the best, Birmingham is the worst

I like the really strong accents like Geordie or Scouse. Birmingham is good to listen to as well.

I don't like the posh, snobby, upper-class accent. That's the voice of privilege.

Yorkshire is the best...Scouse is the worst and they think their all comics!! Sorry guy's call me a get if you like!!

finch
Scouse is the worst, closely followed by Essex. Also the 'street' type accent kids in cities are using is horrible. Don't much like Newport, Cardiff or the Valleys accents either. Irish and Scottish are nice, but I think I prefer just 'Southern' - no accent at all (not posh, just plain).

Barbara Doll to you
It all depends where you are when you're using them. Horses for courses.

gluggery
Edinburgh = sexy
Birmingham = ugly

i cnt believe the amount of ppl saying that bham has got the worst accent, whats wrong with it?? please explain someone...!

Sussex is best - but then I am biased!

I like Norfolk accents, but (sorry) I really can't get on with some Birmingham or Scouse accents. The people are lovely just find the way they speak annoying.

Hey Grace totally agree female scouse is worse - when Abi Clancey spoke in Britains next top model I had to mute the TV.

I live in Manchester, so naturally, hate the Manc accent with a passion. I think Welsh is best, definitely the funniest, but the Northern Ireland accent makes me giggle too. Any accent with those funny stress patterns is entertaining. West Country accents are quite good too. I have a really ugly Cockney accent, so they're not much fun either, hardly any stress pattern at all!!

mark
Geordie is the best. West Country really does my head in!!

atif k
birmingham is the best and manchester is reallt annoying you cant understand a word that they are saying

hope this helps you

Spottie
Irish is best. Brummie is worst.

mia
Birmingham (by far the worst, they always sound thick, even when educated), Liverpool, and Cornish are my pet hates, Mancs and Geordies the best. Although I do love a rich Scots accent too,

SUFFOLK IN WHAT
Coolest is NW Scotland-somewhere like Oban

Worst is take your pick from: Edinburgh/London/Birmingham/
Manchester

The best is Geordie and the worst is scouse.

and ps, I'm from the West Country (Bristol) so thanks very much to your first answerer (not)

misspimousse
i like west country (live in bristol, tho not bristolian), mancunian and scottish.
scouse when spoken by ditzy girls really does my head in, but apart from that, i'm not bothered.

HIGH FIVE!
I love the Cornish accent and detest the brommie accent very annoying and cant stand Jasper carrot!

A Bloke
The best is the Teeside accent (not Geordie) - The worse is either Brummie or South West, bumpkin kind of Area (Yorkshire myself)

blondebombkate
manchester is highly Fu*kin annoying and the thick birmingham accent is head doing too!!
Warwickshire accent would have to be the best-quite basic and i can put up with it!!
