Rule 1. NEVER go on holiday at bank holidays. Stay at home, in front of the fire and watch the news reports. You'll feel so much better.

Oh you poor little bean! And Southsea is so lovely when it's warm.
We cancelled our trip to the Royal Observatory/Greenwich because it was sooo miserable and I didn't want to trapse round London sopping wet. Instead went to Guildford and got sopping wet. Had to buy new warm socks because my shoes were full of water from walking to the train station and I got a wet bum because I was wearing a short coat and we had that delightful phenomenon; sideways rain. Blurgh!!
However, did get a a pair of Kurt Geiger boots for £30 in the sales! Woohoo!

Camping? In Southsea? How did you manage to get away without a chav nicking your tent?
Yep, went camping in Gloucestershire. Rained on and sunburned all in the same weekend. Great stuff. Rain never stops us doing anything.

You should have gone to the Lake district, it was beautiful. I went camping Friday to Sunday and it rained during the night on Friday but when we woke up it was lovely and sunny. We had planned to do a walk but got to the first pub and sacked it off. I did go to sleep with a t-shirt, jumper, Pyjarma top and bottoms, socks and towel over my sleeping bag though coz it went as cold as 1 degree.....
