Well, you, and whatever other miserable sods want to leave the UK are more than welcome to go. We'll be better off without you. You don't know how lucky you are living in a country like this. I'm not saying it's perfect, but it's a lot better off/better run than many other countries.
So I say - see you later (or hopefully not). |

I do want to leave and live in a spanish speaking country just for the experience yes. However, I think i'd always return home.
Just because of family, commitments and stuff.
I agree with what you're saying though. It is getting pathetic now. Its bad enough immigrants taking over as it is without all the brits flocking abroad and leaving spaces for more immigrants to move in. |

I just returned to the UK after living in Greece for two years and let me tell you something - you will really miss the UK.
Yes Greece has some fantastic weather with wonderful beaches but the people there are rude, drive like maniacs and seem to live on their own private laws and regulations. I had an issue with my plumbing and called a guy from the yellow pages and he had the cheek to want to charge me £400 to unblock a toilet, when I refused he stormed off and broke my mirror. I called the police and they told me I was overreacting.
You will miss the UK and the things you take for granted, in Grece you couldn't shop for groceries online, can't use the internet properly because all the searches are in Greek, can't pick up a paper on a Sunday without driving to an international stockist.
UK may have some poor points but I missed it so much I am back and feel great about it and if I want to go to the beach I just book a holiday....

I often thought I did and I still do to some extent, but where in the world is any better? I think there will similar problems in most countries.
The ones that are any good have very strict immigration laws so we can't go there. What does that tell you? |

Me.
Not because of what you say, I just can't see myself getting a job here, and settling down here...
(I'm 17...)
I'm going to go to university here and then try and get a visa to live somewhere else! |

I'd like to move to Portugal, but the UK is still pretty good compared to a lot of places. All the bad things about it you mention are true though. |

Yeah I agree, Britain sucks, but it's not all New Labours fault. I'm assuming you're too young to remember what Britain was like under Thatcher and her Tories. We had over 3 million unemployed under her. The reason we have so many illegal immigrants is that our economy actually did improve for a while...we can't stop all the illegals.
And don't assume the Tories would have acted any different in the Afghan or Iraq war. They'd have gone in hand in hand with the US just as happily, same as they did in the first Gulf War.
But yeah, more on track, I'd emmigrate in a minute if I got the chance. Either to Canada or Australia. This country has been going to the dogs for a long time. |

I left five years ago and wouldn´t want to return. I now live in Spain and have seen great changes since coming to live here, i.e and increase in immigration from Morrocco, who get the blame for all the crime and can obtain health care, Romania, Russia, Bulgaria etc just like the UK. The difference here is that they cannot claim social security unless they have made contributions. Spain is in an economic crisis just like the UK and many of the east europeans are moving on. Spain is also offering a cash incentive for Morroccans to return back to their country and not return for at least 6 years. There is an increase in crime here but nothing like the UK, booze is cheaper and measures are double than that of the UK but we don´t have as many alcohol related problems and I don´t see any drunken braws outside bars. You do get problems in coastal tourist areas but I don´t live in one of those.
I wouldn´t say Spain was better but it´s different and I prefer my children go grow up here. Wages are absolute cr.... but I am lucky to have a job and that is only because I speak the lingo. Health care is very good though. Spain pulled it´s guys out of Iraq a few years back, although they are present in Afganistan. Local councils are so full of corruption it´s a joke. |

Well, Kentucky, nothing new here. Labour.Immigration.Tax.
In 1970 I did what would now be called a 'gap year'.
Went to Australia which was great except for the British you ranted along the lines of' 'Britain is finished, too many blacks, the unions are ruining the country' You know the kind of thing.
Some years later I lived in Spain and, yes, the British ex-pats were saying the same thing.
My family were immigrants from Ireland. Worked hard. Raised a family.Paid their taxes. Now that I am almost retirement age myself I thank them for their hardship made on my behalf.
Go if you must. But leave the attitude behind. Or you will be unhappy elsewhere too. |

Yes I do really want to leave the UK. But not for all you have said. My only regret is coming to the UK.
Things are bad, but not as in other places. Try live in a place where the average wage is £10 a week and most food items are not in store.
Life is hard where ever you live in this world. The chose is yours as to how you want to live. |

I want to leave the UK, yes, when I graduate from Uni in three years.
However, it's nothing to do with my political stance.
If it was, then I'd be a fool to want to move to America! Lol! |

No. Where exactly are you planning to go where citizens don't pay tax, the government never go to war, health and safety isn't an issue and immigration is tightly controlled? You're an idiot. |
