Barney Ard said ... 2 years ago i would have said it was too close to call, but since the SNP have whipped up bigotry in Scotland i will have to go with England for now.
SNP stirs up bigotry? What are you talking about? I live in Scotland & they haven't stirred up bigotry against anyone. You can disagree with them, as is your right, but please don't come out with the wild slurs.
The question was about Travel though. Scotland has some of the best remaining unspoilt landscapes of anywhere in Europe. Reaching the Highlands is easy from Edinburgh or Glasgow, ironically thanks to the English who built loads of roads so they could go "pacify" the Scottish Highlands in the late 17th/18th centuries.
I'm a bit biased, but i'd say as an overall cultural experience Scotland would be the better country. We have more of a sense of our national identity.
That's not to put England down though. As another respondent noted, there are loads of great places in England such as the Lake District etc. |

i would say Scotland,as they look after their own, England looks after everyone |

As this question is under "Travel" I only assume that you mean the landscape, not politics.
The two countries are both unique in their own way. The Scottish Highlands, the West Coast and Border region are fantastic,
but so are Cornwall, Devon, the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and Northumberland in England. It all depends on what you are looking for. It is therefore impossible to say that one is better than the other.
Together England and Scotland makes Britain great! |

We in the Scottish nation regard England as one of our colonies. |

I guess you are trying to whip up a bit of controversy here and all the bigots will crawl out of the woodwork.
So as a born and raised Scot with English parents I would have to say that they are both brilliant. |

Duh. England. 1. More powerful, 2. better accents, 3. help other countries out more, and 4... they're just hotter.
