I love London! Lived there for 2 and a half years. It is an expensive city to visit but once you are working there and earning pounds it is not that bad. Awesome atmosphere, great multi-cultural society and the most amazing sights and history. The best bonus is - it's so cheap to travel from there to the continent so you can go on regular trips and see even more amazing places and people! |

Lived there. Born there and I highly recommend it :)
It it true that it does rain a lot and it is cloudy but it also depends on what time of the year you decide to go. I suggest anytime between May and September, which is their warmest time of the year. If you don't mind the rain there are always cheap tickets during the off season (Late Jan through March) just take a look at any of the major airlines that fly into Heathrow (LHR).
And if you decide that London isn't for you take a quick ferry or chunnel ride to Calais, France or Paris. Once you get to mainland Europe you won't know what to discover first!
Hope I convinced you to go! |

London's a great city. Flown into both Heathrow and Gatwick, pick Heathrow if you have a choice.
Nice sites, more history than you can take in in a week. Parliament's cool.
Take some time to get up into Scotland if possible.
The only downside is the food, not so great compared to other places in Europe (like Italy). |
