I love it. I can understand how people not from Glasgow/Scotland find it hard to understand though!

LC
It's a shame Henry doesn't understand the Glasgow accent as I'm sure he'd have liked Billy Connolly. I suppose he needs subtitles for Lorraine Kelly too. I wonder what part of the world he comes from. I can understand if he struggled to understand some old person from a really rough part of Glasgow but if he didn't understand A WORD anyone was saying to him he must not be too good at English.

Henry
When I went to Glasgow, I could not understand it at all. It's kind of charming, until you realize that you have no idea what the person just said.

Ali
yes but understanding it is another thing :P

i like the accent. wen i was there, they didnt understand me and i didnt understand them. we had to use symbols sumtimes. i wasnt there for long, but now i have a habit of using ''oi'' instead of yes, and ''wee'' instead of small. its a real nice place. i live in ireland, but their a lot more modern. better buses and bus stations, bigger buildings and the people ar way friendlier.

It rocks man.....

I speak to English peeps on the phone everyday and rarely have a problem with them understanding me.... (my nice phone voice)

But when with English mates (especially when drunk) I realise that my words all merge into 1 big word-per-sentence.

I cringe when I hear Scottish accents on the TV.....
