Why do Brits and Greeks hate each other??

I heard that these countries dont get along at all. Why is this, would relations be getting better anytime soon ?

I can't say that I've ever heard that one. Our queen is married to a Greek (Prince Philip, formerly Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark) and I can't see that would ever have happened if we didn't get along! A lot of Brits go to Greek coastal resorts for their holidays each year and, in true British style, many get very drunk and make something of a nuisance of themselves. I can imagine that would prove annoying to the Greeks in those parts of the country, but I've never had any inkling that there's been real animosity between the two countries.

I think you need to speak to the advisor about this. British people are a major tourist to Greece. They love Greece and vice versa. Is your advisor having a laugh !trust yourself in future.

Do we? I had no idea we did or do. They might of course resent the fact that we pinched the Elgin marbles from the Parthenon, but then that was the Duke of Hamilton, not us lesser mortals.

I don't think theres ever been rivalry between Britain and Greece, now Britain and France or Britain and Germany now thats a different story (although i don't really get it)

'Er indoors!!
I had no idea they did. I have visited Greece on many occasions, but have had no problems with the people, and we have recently bought an apartment there, after selling up in Portugal, where it is OBVIOUS they hate the British. We don't get out much to Greece at the moment, but there is a dear old Greek couple who took it upon theirselves to keep an eye on our apartment when we're not there, and I am overcome by their kindness, as we never even got a "good morning" from people in Portugal (apart from other Brits living there) I would choose to live in Greece anyday.
