I would imagine that that is because the British perceive that all Americans are as boring and stupid as you are. Everyone loves an underdog. It is easily assumed from your persistence with these inane banalities that you represent your entire nation. Where that is largely true you seem to me to be the ultimate a**hole of your people and as such, being the greatest in this field you are held in abject disdain. Fools, even great fools, are not suffered well.

Funny in a conceited Yank way!!Doesn't really deserve an answer.And FYI as a British woman living in the States if I had a dollar for every Yank who told me how wonderful Britain and British people were I would be more of a millionaire than i already am!!So I'm not so sure about your view that no one likes "us"
