It's a sh1thole - end of story!

I have looked at many of the replies, in general you say Blackpool is Cr*p. If this is correct, then why can I not walk down the Promenade from June to November without moving out of someones way?? The place is heaving with people who apparantly hate the resort. Within a couple of miles, you can be 10 yr old - 18 yr old - 25 yr old - sensible aged - or gereatric. Which are you???

Because it is friendly and lots of things to do and see on the golden mile, Amusement arcades, Theatres, wax works, Winter gardens, Zoo, Pleasure beach and much more.

it's not as good as it was. But i spent a 19th birthday weekend in blackpool and loved it. There is alot to do and a good variety of pubs. I think it can depend on the people your with for the type of evening you have. but i loved it.

I wouldn peronally live there, but i would happily revisit again.

I don't know, it is so ...... awful! Loads of drunks around at night, awful B & B's and crappy hotels. Even the Blackpool Tower is all rusty. The beach is quite nice but they never get any sunshine up there. Most places are boarded up and if they aren't they look like they should be. Blackpool Council please take note and smarten the place up a bit and you will get more visitors.

its a rubbish place full of pi** eds not a place to take the children for a day out

Like anywhere , people will come and go with all sorts of either horror or good will stories , if your looking for that place to do things with family or friends then blackpool can provide all these things , and i have had many experiences of both good and bad trips there. Many are under the illusion it can be a cheap family holiday but in truth if you shop around a more satisfying holiday can be found abroad usually at a cheaper price. If your planning a weekend trip then it can be fun but for any longer - try somewhere else for value for money

I like Blackpool, it's a very friendly place to visit. The shopping centre is good and there are plenty of pubs around. I like going in the middle of winter when it's a freezing cold but sunny day and wrapping up warm and walking along the sand. It's quiet then and the Metropole Hotel on the seafront has a nice conservatory you can have a drink in and look out to sea.

I used to go for the arcades...Then i bought a PS2 and haven't been since!!

Have no idea. I went there on holiday a couple of times when i was a kid. Seemed to spend most of our time sitting in the car on the seafront eating soggy chips whilst watching the rain on the windows. Not worth the 200m drive

There's plenty to do. A lot of places have run down areas. There is more to Blackpool than the people being drunk. I go regularly and except for late Friday and Saturday nights have never experienced any drunk behaviour and what I have has been no worse than what happens in my own local town centre. There seems to be a I hate Blackpool cult starting. Look further than the gaudy building fronts.
I love it.
