i dnt hate the uk and i dnt pay taxes coz i am 2 young but if this country stop having wars in iraq and leave that country alone then we would have a lot of money and the taxes would decrease rapidly so stop the WARS

Because the government is useless and try and take every penny you earn. The NHS is getting worse, immigration is out of control (illegals immigrants are just flooding us) the justice system is a joke

British ways are being ignored and not allowed in our OWN country just to keep the minorites and immigrants happy!

I don't hate the UK but i don't like what it's turning in to, we seem to be the dumping ground for all Europe's cast offs and we are supposed to foot the bill for them.

Too many immigrants, high taxes, politicians that are ruining the country, cost of living is to high and teenage hoodie thugs that want to stab and shoot us just for looking at them the wrong way. Why would anyone adore the UK for these reasons.

firstly are you british? if so its not the uk you would hate it would be the government as 'we' dont decide upon why and who we pay taxes, secondly i cant make sense of the question

I hated the UK & emigrated to Turkey as have about 34,000 other Brits. I just got my water & poll tax for the last 2Â½ years, it works out about Â£15, that works out about Â£6 a year for the 2. Thats just one reason i left the UK. There also pulling down the local prison because theres no one to put in it. I dont think that will ever happen in the UK either. You can keep it thank you.

yeah as well as a rip off government, criminal prosecution system, paying our own layabouts to sit on their asses instead of getting jobs and rewarding scroats for thieving with pride of place asbos knowing they wont have to worry about getting a job, cos we'll pay for them. our country is a joke. the best thing to do is row out and sail back in a box asking for asylum, housing, a phone, money and a car.

I don't know how all you people could make any sense at all out of his drivvel. Does he mean asylums are too expensive or that we are paying too much tax? If that were true our high taxes would make asylums cheaper to live in. Hmm.....

I dont hate England. I live in a rural area having been a townie all my life so I guess I'm slightly sheltered from your issues. I'm surrounded by fields and had 3 seasons in one weekend. I love it. Worth every penny

We're not paying taxes to look after asylum seekers. They are insignificant in terms of our revenue expenditure.

Most of our taxes go towards three things.

1. The war in Iraq.

2. Paying for the 2012 Olympics.

3. Keeping the Royal Family in the luxury they deserve.

If you don't like it then so d off elsewhere!

If you hate the UK, why not do as we did, and leave.
Incidentally we dont hate the UK, we just cant afford to live there, as pensioners. Not because of immigrants, because of the tax monies going to foreign wars, and aid to African dictators.

we don't really hate the UK we just prefer to holiday abroad or at least a lot of us do .
probably the no 1 reason is the weather ,you can virtually guarantee sunny weather in Spain ,Greece etc during the summer months .
also the service and value we get is much more .i think this is because most taverns bars etc are family run rather that a chain employing people as in this country and its not just there job its there living .
also we enjoy the experience of a foreign country and its usually much cheaper .

'We' don't hate the UK. I would agree that we pay too much for 'asylum' seekers but I don't think we pay too much tax. C'mon now!!
Other countries pay 40% income tax after a paltry Â£33,000 don't they!?.
Other countries pay 40% death duty don't they!?.
Other countries pay 40% unearned income don't they!?.
Other countries pay 40% Capital gains tax`don't they!? Other countries pay 80% fuel duty don't they!?.
Other countries pay 82% duty on alcohol don't they!?.
Other countries pay 85% duty on tobacco don't they!?
Other countries pay 17.5% VAT on anything you may have left over from salaries don't they!?.
Other countries pay an average Â£1,500 per year Council Tax don't they!?
The list is endless. This is only fair ....is'nt it?

I live in a multicultural area, I can experience many cultures in just a few streets. Its great. Learn to live with people. Saves on the airfare!

England has always been subjected to invaders from abroad,
Romans, Vikings, French etc. to name a few.

We are all decended from migrants - so are you saying it's Ok for me and my family, but lets shut the door on anyone else.

Let's face it, there are may English moving to France and the US for a better life, so why shouldn't people from very poor areas also seek to improve their lot.

If you think our taxes are high - I suggest you look at Norway!

'We' who is this 'we'?
I think you will find that most 'Brits' love the UK and are very proud to be a part of the 'British Empire' Great Britain and all that!
This of course includes the vast majority of the USA!
However some of our memories go back a bit beyond that!
When most folk think about the UK they think of England!!
The UK is not England!!
'Hate' is very strong and I am aware that history is written by the winners.
I am a Scot, ( and proud of that)!
I have read history, from the English side and from all sides, including the Welsh and Irish sides, I cannot say I 'hate' the English in all truth, because this is all history, but I do have an intense dislike and mistrust of all English folk!!!
