Why does the tube not run correctly, with no delays!? |
This am i took the circle line to work again few delays, problems with the radio was the excuse, and yeserday it was the central line problem at Acton Town. How are they going to cope with the Games approaching in London. |

If you want them to run without any means of communications (like no radio in the tunnels) you obviously won't mind sitting there for an hour until somebody notices that your train hasn't been seen for ages............
Oh, and tell them to ignore that signal failure. Just tell the drivers to ignore all red lights so that the trains can crash into each other. What flowers do you like?
Lastly, you'd better tell Tfl that their Central Line has been hijacked by the District and Piccadilly lines seeing as how, according to you, it now runs to Acton Town!
It's people like you that the Underground staff LOVE ! ! ! |

If you really believe that London Underground is always problematic then I cant understand why you live and work in London. Mechanical failure is always going to be there. These machinery, equipment they use are in constant use all the time, they only have a lifespan of that much. The trains and signals are used from 5am till past midnight mon-fri and obviously a bit shorter hours on weekends. Would you be able to work that many hours in a month?... Let alone a week?... In London they try to bring trains to us on peak hours every 1-3min depending which line and areas, in other european first world countries trains are set times that are 5-7min so you getting probably double the amount of physical trains in an hour in London compared to other countries. Thats why there systems apparently dont have problems. because their workloads are less. |

Mainly because its a very old system and now needs constant repair. The London Underground was the world's first urban underground transport system...but its now starting to show its age. |

Because it is old and dillapidated and they dont spend enough money on good quality repair materials or good workmanship. Ours is one of the worst maintained and run in major contries, with the highest fares. |

central line to acton town???!!! as far as I am aware I thought the piccadilly and distric lines were going there but eh I am only working as a ticket seller for london underground !!
I Think you meant west acton or maybe north or even east acton which are on the central line!
if you don't have radio and something happen while you are in a tunnel how the driver will contact the line controller?!
THINK BEFORE ASKING STUPID QUESTIONS!
To MAR: The programe "The Tube" doesn't reflect the reality of what is really day to day.london underground is actually recruiting maybe you should apply then you could see how it really is! |

The main reason there are so many delays is because the system is so old... sure subways in Hong Kong and Singapore are much more reliable, but when they're 100 years old I'm guessing they'll break down once in a while too.
They're working to fix the problems, but remembering hardly any maintanence was done on the network for 30 years between 1950 and 1980, there's a lot of catching up to do.
The Circle line is worse than most because with trains going round in circles, there's no opportunity for them to catch up if they're late like there is on the other lines. |
