It's not always cloudy. It's a nice crisp day here in Oxford.
I suppose it's cloudy a lot of the time because GB is a relatively small Island with a lot of wet air coming over from the seas around us. |

The truth is that England has been proven to be no more cloudy (or wet) than many countries in Northern Europe. It's the unpredictability and speed of change which marks the UK weather. |

There has been wall to wall sunshine in Newcastle Upon Tyne for the past four day-times. Again, to agree with the other answers, the weather, in the main, comes from the Atlantic and carries a lot of cloud. |
