Yes I realize it is pricey for us but I was thinking along the the lines of the tourist industry. We can get cheap accommodation abroad but not here.

The exchange rate of your dollar or rather pund would have a good deal to do with why it is cheaper elsewhere. Try travelling on an Aussie dollar to the UK and Continental Europe. I doubt you will be complaining then. |

Everything's gone up in price in the UK. Housing, rent, everything. It's something to do with the European Union and immigration. There's not enough houses for people thus housing has increased in price. And if housing increases, accommodation becomes very pricey. I tried to live there three times and failed! |
