Because of the rich history! You might argue that no other country over time has held so much power.

It's biggest draw is history and scenery. Nowhere else in the world has such huge diversity of monuments, ancient buildings and varying scenery (from moors to mountains) in a relatively small space.

England's really boring. It's cold and wet! Not the nicest place in the world.

But it does have pretty, historical places to visit, like Abbey Gardens (in Bury St. Edmunds) and Gissing Hall - very pretty!

The history. That is the only thing. Yes, there are great beaches and countryside - but what is the good of this when it is freezing cold and blowing a gale? Even if you go to a beach on the odd day it is hot enough, what's the betting the tide is out?
