Well- I can't answer about the other UK countries but England is the most beautiful place I've ever visited, and I've traveled quite a bit.The people are civil, the public transportation system is fantastic and the weather isn't extreme. One is surrounded by history at every turn. The health care system appears to be functioning adequately. If you feel the need for warmer weather, the European continent is at your fingertips for a quick break. My husband and I hope to be able to retire there part time. |

I choose to live here.
Things I like:
* The NHS
There's not a system nearly as good as it. People b*tch about it all the time, but if they were in an accident, they'd be in surgery as soon as possible. No waiting for insurance companies and the like
* Our education system
There are some chinks in the system, but I think it works well. It's highly regarded throughout the world (especially our universities)
* Our TV
Great British humour. Especially Charlie Brooker. Oh how I love him so.
* Our freedom of speech
People think our government is controlling, but compare it to some of the other super powers around the world, and you'll see that we actually know far more about how our country is run than they do
* The media
Again, our media isn't censored by the government as much as some other countries, and we have papers with different political slants, meaning that we can see more than one side of a story
* Our history
I hate studying (and teaching) history, but the UK has a lot of it.
* Tesco
That has to be the most compelling argument |

It's not the best country in the world but, its home and everyone has a great sense of humour (even when it's raining).. That dry sarcastic english sense of humour which I love!
God save the queen! :D |

is it because they like our places and wanna live in nice country and wanna integrate into the County

I don't anymore. New Labour voters and the Government they have foisted on us have ruined the place. New Labour voters can go to hell. |
