You gotta go to Bath in the west country. Roman type place with Baths and real nice looking old archetechture, very nice setting. The cotswolds for that old english country type feel. Scotland for the scenery, particulary when its cold, dramatic. Cornwall for the folk tales of pirates like blackbeard going there (he he, I'll believe in Robin Hood next) London for all sorts of reasons. Changing of the guard, buildings, history and nice people like me ;- )
Enjoy your stay. |

Brimham Rocks.. it is a park sort of place about 1/2 an hour drive from Harrogate, and it is full of natural rock formations that are fun to climb on or you could bring a picnic
York town centre is fun for shopping
Harrogate town centre is what I'm familiar with so I love that! |

The lake district is pretty scenic, depends on your tastes. Stay away from Liverpool and Manchester unless you are mad about the beatles. |

You got to come to Bath, followed by a trip to Wells about 15 miles away, where you can stop off at Chilcompton for lunch at the Somerset wagon they do nice meals. this is my local. There is a web site for this tradditional pub not sure what it is but type in the somerset wagon somerset in search engine it will take you to site. Wells is the smallested city in the country. Saturdays it has an open air market in the main square. after this a short trip to chedder Gorge, then followed by another short trip to Weston super mare our local seaside resort.
Just had a weekend myself away on the south coast to Lymington near southampton really nice town with marina. a must on a saturday. Folllowed by a 15 min drive into the new forest. New Forest is just great. hope you enjoy your holiday. kev |

Get yourself to Glasgow. If you can go to a gig. Glasgow is the best city in the uk. If you like scenery, and a bit of bis, head towards Inverness, the girls have an accent to die for. |

How about the London Eye. The Tate modern (art gallery). Trocadero ( indoor amusement park). Hyde Park. Or you could go to Charing Cross Road and go to the theatre. There's Leicester Square too. YOu could go to Oxford Circus for some shopping.
All the above are in Central London. Have a good trip. |
