I think it topped the list of Worst places to live in the UK...I remember it being on the news
I live in Cardiff so close to Merthyr and it is kind of a bleak place to live, not sure if it's the worst but I wouldn't want to live there anyway |

With stabbings of young people, (another one Today) reported almost every day, I would hate to live in London. I never was keen on the place even before the latest bad press.
I think most of the big Cities are dreadful to live in these days!!! |

Hackney & Islington,got bad scores in Kirsty & Phil's list of Britains worst places to live.not the worst,but up in the top ten along with Tower Hamlets & Newham.
it's pretty bleak,because all these areas have very affluent pockets within them.the poverty & crime all seems to stem from the grotty council estates & drug abuse
liberal attitudes towards delinquent behavior has done little to improve things & trying to find socio-political/economic reasons for bad living is a lost cause! |

Its supposed to be Middlesbrough - but it REALLY isn't. Middlesbrough's not that bad compared to Redcar & Cleveland which has far more then its fair share of rough areas. The worst place though, has to be GRIMsby - which is as the name suggests.... |

Birmingham - or as its known now, Pakistan 2.
Nottingham, Bradford, Leeds - hell holes.
Anywhere north of Hadrians wall would suck. In conclusion then, everywhere else in England and Wales would be ok. |
