I am in Guernsey. I reckon both of the Islands are a bit pricey for what they offer. There is BIG talk that low cost airlines are to come over and bring down the cost. It may work well. However the cost of a hotel room is ridiculous compared the the UK mainland.
I am not sure we are cut out to be THAT sort of destination.

Yes, I've been to Jersey twice, to visit a friend who was working over there. The climate is good - and I love the Gerald Durrell zoo! I remember there was one tiny nightclub - it was fun though!

I think Jersey is a fantastic place to visit, and the club scene is excellent,I have been quite a few times and found the local people friendly and helpfull, the only problems I found, was with the tourists and in a lot of ways Jersey can be very much like here in England which spoils it sometimes.

I wouldn't because I've heard it's quite expensive. Shame really because I visited last month on business and it was lovely.

Yep I love it there - my brother lives there - well I lie, hes actually just moved to Guernsey in the last few months.
But however, I think Jersey if fantastic - REALLY clean and I never felt safer that when I was there - amenities and accommodation are fab - really clean. Food - gorgeous.
And the fares - well even with the sterling transfer from euro here, it was still a REALLY cheap place - overall picture I adore the place and Im actually heading back over for a long weekend before the end of the year so looking forward to that!

I went for a holiday about ten years ago and it was really good. The battle of the flowers was amazing and there is so much interesting history dotted all over the island.
Will probably go again one day to see the rest of what I didn't see before. Not sure about costs but from what I remember it wasnt ridiculously expensive
