Would you be happy to leave the UK?

If yes, why? Just because I'm thinking of moving there from Italy.
Thanks.

Most definitely yes! UK government has destroyed what it is to be British! UK is just a dumping ground for all sorts of useless, unemployable, scummy, foreign trash. Hopefully, off to Oz or NZ for a better way of life within 18 months.

I left 3 years ago and I regret it every day. And why in the world you'd want to leave an amazing place like Italy baffles me.

I would be devastated to leave this sceptered isle. However,New Labour have left this country spiralling towards oblivion.I believe, without a radical new government, there will be no return from this disaster.
On those grounds ,I am afraid I will leave my beloved country for the first commonwealth nation that will have me.

Its not the best of places, but where is?
Every place has its faults,

I would never leave the UK, Its my home and I love it

(See how many thumbs down I get here, LOL)

Freakin

I love this country. But it is so crowded.
I'd love to settle in Canada or New Zealand.
But Italy sounds good at the moment.

I've lived most of my life in the UK, however, I've spent the last few years living in Canada and Australia and I wouldn't move back to Britain now, as much as i love it, i think it's going down the toilet

POOH
I moved out of the UK 6 years ago and haven't looked back. Too much crime and its refugee infested! I moved to Cyprus. Ahhh this is the life!

Home is were your heart is!! I moved from the UK to Sicily 22 years ago and I would not go back as I am happy here, but that does not mean that I do not love my homeland, I do.

Erm....which part of Italy r u living in?
I would leave the UK for several reasons:

1) Our bad climate...constant cold and rain
2) It's a very expensive country to live in
3) We don't live much....think Greece or Italy when people are always out walking by the sea or in town, having an icecream and just generally enjoying life. In England we do, but not as much...probably because our climate limits what we can do.........you plan to go running, you wake up...it's raining...so you stay in...or go to a gym but its never the same

I would stay because...

1) Although the cost of living is high, our money goes far when we travel on holiday abroad
2) It is my home, so I feel at home here and in familiar surroundings...I don't feel like a foreigner
3) It's not a bad country in terms of work and if you get a good job, you can earn well...however tax is high!

It really depends what you want........choose between a good job and good wages or lower wages but better quality of life.............unless you're from somewhere like Milan, in which case it would be the same kind of thing in the Uk

id love to move somewhere nice and warm, less rainy and much cheaper to live.
if it wasnt for family ties i would move to australia tomorrow, or boston, usa, where i lived for a while. i loved it there and would love to go back.

reece
Yeah, would love to go to Oz.

No I'd miss the beautiful countryside that I love so much and BBC Radio 4. However I certainly wouldn't miss the people.

belledeschamps
We are actually thinking about it. I am from France but my husband is english. He is self employed and can do his job from anywhere in the world, just needing a computer.
Moving there would mean a better quality of life for all of us. Our son is already bilingual and still young enough (6). We would choose a sunnier and more relaxed region than the one we live in now.

I'd move without giving it a second thought. The house prices in this country are ridiculous, so much so that even people who earn comparatively good salaries cannot afford their own home. I'd love to move to Australia, where I used to live, but my husband wants to move to the US. Either way we plan to be gone within ten years.

Oh dear! biker 2gi.. by all means leave England there are a lot better places. But Cyprus? Have you seen beyond the holiday resort facade there? the real Cyprus. If you care at all about animals forget it. You would not be able to stand the sight of how many people there treat their animals/domestic pets. I'm talking real cruelty, like starving an animal to death and then saying that is the natural way for it to die! I could go on all day with what I saw in my seven years in the south of the island. Complain to the police? One is then told in no uncertain terms that if one doesn't like what they see then bu**ger off back to England. Other complainants were threatened with deportation (this in the days before they were in the EU.

goaway
i wanna move, thought about europe

i'd go in a flash to somwhere hot and sunny where they dont rip u off like they do here.this country is going to the dogs...sorry but thats the way i feel. :D

If I was young, I might well take my chances in another country. But I'm middle aged (and set in my ways!) so, much as I'm not comfortable with some of the ways in which this country is changing, the fact is I won't be leaving.
