Yes, the scots get about £1,400 more each from the english taxes, they don't pay prescription charges, free university education, far better hospitals, less tax, and there's less over crowding... I'd love to be scottish! |

My Gt. Gt. grandmother was a Maria Grant and there are family legends about Scottish ancestors, so I guess I might have a few genes anyway.
I still think I like being a bit of a mixture rather than true blood. |

I am Scottish and damn proud of my ancestry. But i don't slag off the English. Are you trying to stir up trouble here. I would appreciate an answer here if you have the guts to do so.
CLAIRE.....Scots students DO NOT get free university. If there parents earn a certain amount THEY have to pay. If not, then the students get a grant. Don't know where you got that info from.
CLEVERGI.....Chip on your shoulder i see! Where do you all get this free university from. (see above). We have less tax and free prescriptions because we have our own parliament now. And as for the £1400 EACH???!!! more from the english parliament.............what are you on?? I'd like to know where mine is then. some english said we'd never cope having our own parliament and so far we are better off.....touch of the little green monster there?
Eldric.........I have an Indian family living in my town. they have been here since the 60's. They all class themselves as Scottish and speak with a broad Scots accent.
OBEEDOO.....can you answer me when i ask why you posted this question?
If it was to stir up some agro between the Scots and English, don't you think that there is enough bad feeling in the UK with all the immigration troubles, without us lot starting. It's times like this we should all stick together.
