Hotel Relax, Alanya, Turkey. Hell on earth. The place smelt like rotten sewerage. The staff and their children took over the few facilities including the pool. The staff had parties until 5am.The facilities were dangerous, my youngest cut his foot badly on a broken tile in the pool. Half the hotel had food poisoning. Some of the staff slept in the corridor. It was so out of the way there was nothing else within a mile. We had to cross the equivalent of the M1 to get to the beach etc etc. We took the wasters to small claims court and had all our holiday cost returned plus £3000 for the aggravation we suffered. It's a shame because Alanya and the Turkish people were lovely, but we'll NEVER go back.

Butlins, oh my god, we left early, I would not go back for free. The whole place needs an asbo on it.

a hotel in Blackpool that was so filthy it was to be seen to be believed, the mattress springs were broken, there was a funny little shower built into the eaves of the roof that you had to crouch down to get into ... omg it was so awful

Col

Luckily everywhere I've been has been beautiful. Due to alot of research and planning. My worst place so far is Salou though - food was horible + the beach smelt of sewers sometimes.

Don't tell my boss I'm on here
I went to Aguamarina Hotel in Arenal D'en Castell in Minorca. The place was a bloody German retirement complex!

Also I went to Breville Sur Mer in France a couple of years ago. Place was a ghost town, and let me tell you, those stereotypes of French people bein A*seholes, well, they're true.

Ibiza.

We were supposed to be in San Antonio bay but were put in Playa de Torrente (sp?), the hotel was 2 miles up a dirt track and taxi drivers refused to go there, first room we were given had damp in it, second had a tree growing into it. The only entertainment was a karaoke on a wednesday night that had to be stopped at 11pm to appease the neighbors and worst of all, staff were guessing at chlorine levels in the pool and the filter was broken so there was a mild chlorine gas (the stuff they used to kill soldiers in WW1) coming off the pool - everyone in that place had this nasty barking cough.

Angel
