I am not a Scouser and other than to watch football at Goodison and Anfield I have never been to Mersyside,So my opinion of Mersyside comes from what I read and hear.
The people come across as overly sensitive (remember the Boris Johnson affair) .Thieves (people say having there car broken into is a regular occurrence)
Lazy (If they lose there job instead of dealing with it by finding alternative employment they moan and blame others )
they also seem to blame everyone else for there probs.(Hillsborough .For all the failings of the authorities some fault has to lie with the fact the fans without tickets forced there way into the ground. But to say this seems to be considered heresy in Liverpool)
Like I say I am not speaking from personal experience I live in Buckinghamshire and the nearest cities to me are London (20 miles away and Oxford 30 ish miles away) ,just how the area seems to come across.

There are worse places than Liverpool, you probably live in one.

!. Merseyside is not a city
2. LIVERPOOL won the European capital of culture
3. Peter Crouch's house is in Cheshire
4. Daniel Agger lives on the Wirral
5. The article does not state where Jersy Dudek or Andy Van Der Mayde live
6. Get your facts right before you ask daft questions!

First of all Unlike the rest of the country Liverpool has scallies not chavs. People are always jealous of difference.
I have yet to see any burberry that is the staple of every other city, in Liverpool scallies wear black tracksuits.

Next Liverpool is the safest big city in the United Kingdom according to the government latest crime statistics (2005). I would link to this fact, but seeing as you have already made up your mind and wouldn't let inconvenient things like facts get in the way of your obnoxious prejudices, then its not really worth the effort.

Finally Liverpool has more Georgian town houses than Bath (which is famous for its Georgian town houses) More museums and galleries than any city outside London, and the greatest neo-classical building in Europe. And that's just for starters.

I doubt that these facts will make the slightest bit of difference to someone who wallows so openly in their ignorance.

The unknown is ignorance. You are wrong, and you obviously have never been, its maybe someone from the oppersition who broke into his house, because they LOST the game, you never know. And for "European Capital of Culture, it speaks for it self, have a look, and you will enjoy, maybe b4 you judge, and it would give you a better picture.

fafandloo
It happens all the time every were not just merseyside , if he wasnt a footballer than you wouldnt of even know about it ,

All major conurbations suffer from crime, look at the stats, Liverpool is no worse than others, it's typical of people like you to highlight only the bad. Come here and I will show you around, you will experience the famous Scouse hospitality and the humour that helps us to transcend all the negative comments that are said about our great City.

Born and bred Scouser.
