Disney World!!!
are you effing kidding?
that is like the best place on earth and i can't believe you'd even have to ask. All these people that say WDW is just for kids are full of Sh*t. I'm 15 and i go every single year and i am obsessed with it! Nothing in the universe can compare to Disney! Diseny makes you feel so special and has the highest quality of everything! Disney doesn't call their employees employees, they call them "cast members" or "imagineers". And they don't think of you as a tourist or visitor. they call you a "Guest". They don't say "have a nice day" they say "have a magical day". Disney is the best in the universe, hands down. Their little details mean so much, but the big details are even better! Okay there are two parks of Universal, Islands of adventure and Universal Studios. Disney World has 4-- The Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, MGM Studios. All the rides are superior and the entertainment and food is superior. I've been to Universal quite a few times but compered to Disney its nothing. Sure Universal is entertaining and "fun" but its not unique or magical. Universal is just an average theme park, like all the rest out there... i.e. busch gardens, seaworld, carowinds, six flags. |

I have gone to both Disney and Universal. Disney, I had fun there. We did all four major theme parks and Downtown Disney. I felt like a kid all over again, but the prices woke me up to reality. Disney is expensive. I am not going to lie to you. My fiance' and I ate at the World Showcase twice. We ate at the Tepanyaki Dining Room and Nine Dragons. We spent about $200 total at both restaurants. It would have been more if we had our daughters with us. The tickets alone are expensive. In fact, the prices went up at the beginning of the year. Universal is wonderful. Lots of restaurants at City Walk, fun for the whole family. We went for Mardi Gras this year, and it was fun!!! A lot of fun!! I took my daughter, and she had a blast, and she's only 4. We spent less money, and we still had a great time. So, for me, I would go to Disney if I want to spend the money. Universal, if I just want to get wild!

PS. I have to respond to the posting after mine. I love Disney. I've always been in love with Disney, but if you listen to people who go to Disney, the only thing you hear is how expensive Disney is. For me and my fiance to stay and play, we spent about $2500. That's for two people. That included our tickets (Park Hopper with the water parks) plus staying a value resort. Universal...$100 that included for three people to go Mardi Gras. That got us in the park and we enjoyed a concert and a parade. I loved my magical experiences at Disney, but my daughter loved dancing with one of the parade performers at Mardi Gras. I know I'm comparing apples to oranges, but Disney is reserved for when I get my tax return. Universal is for my everyday enjoyment. |

I like both. I'd say if you have younger kids do Disney, if they're older go to Universal. That's if you have to choose. If you have the opportunity to do both, do so you'll enjoy all of the parks. |

Go to Universal. Both places offer the same entertainment value, but Universal has way shorter lines. At Disneyworld, I had to wait one and a half hours for a one minute ride. Besides, adults will find Universal more fun (due to some mature content), while children will find both places just as fun. However, at Universal, there are some rides/exhibits (very few, though) that I wouldn't recommend to children (like the Terminator show). |

I recently went to Universal in California, and it sucked. They had 1 rollercoast which SUCKED [the mummy], 1 water ride which SUCKED [jurrassic park], and 1 old ride [back to the future]. It really got boring. Me and my friend ended up going on back to the future 20+ times, it was so boring.
I wouldn't go to disney either, its only fun if your there with your family, or younger children. They have some rides, but then again, eh.
I reccommend you go to UNIVERSAL ORLANDO. They have so much better rides than UNIVERSAL CALIFORNIA, such as REAL rollercoasters. Have fun man.
but what do you think about this

If you're old enough to ask a question here, then I recommend Universal. Disney is great for the little ones, and everyone should see it once, but it gets boring fast for anyone over 5 years old. Why not go to Universal and just visit Disney for a day if you have time at the end? |

Disney for sure. Universal does have alot of thrill rides but Disney World does to and they have great shows and very nice crew members. Best rides at the Magic Kingdom the three mountains- Splash, Space and Big Thunder. The wishes firework show is great. Animal Kingdom the best ride is Expedition Eversest and the Festival of the Lion King is great. Epcot the best rides are Soarin, Test Track and Mission Space. MGM Studios is Rockin Roller Coaster. A do not miss is the night show Fantasmic you need to be there two hours before it starts to get a seat. Disney is not just for kids I am 26 and have to every year. That is the good thing about Disney they have something for everyone. What every you choose have agood and safe trip!! |

Depends on whether you have children and what they're ages are. If you don't have children or have older children (10 or older) then Universal is more fun because they have more thrill rides. If you have younger children Disney is better. More rides are geared for smaller children and the overall atmosphere is, in my opinion, more entertaining for them as well. At Disney there are daily parades, autograph stations with the Disney characters, song and dance shows, and nightly fireworks. Plus if you prefer nonsmoking areas for your children Disney is also better because they have designated smoking areas and I have seen employees ask smokers outside of the designated areas to please put out the cigarette or move to appropriate spots. Hope this helps and have a fun time! |

universal is second rate to disney.... if you can only do one do disney
now that disney has a true thrill rollercoaster everest it is good for adults too.... i say everest is better then any of the rollercoasters at universal.
at universal the rides break too much and you can tell that things just dont work the way they should. the last 3 times i was there the hulk was unexpectedly down for hours. |

depends on what you like, if you like rides then universal is the place to go, they have great ride. If you are into attractions and shows then Disney is the place to go, while they have some good rides its not the place to go if you love thrill rides. But if you do go to disney make sure you go on the rock n' rollercoaster and the test track. |

DISNEY... if you watch any TV, you may notice Universal Studios has been airing all these commercials saying "Kids stay for free," or something like that. And now they're giving away free car rentals. There's a reason for this... because they need to attract new people. Anyone who has gone to both know that Disney World is way better. You can get through the Universal theme park in one day. WDW has 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, Downtown Disney, and so much other stuff to do. And you don't have to leave Disney property, and if you stay at a Disney Resort you get free Disney transportation anywhere on property. WDW is my favorite place on Earth. Universal's going downhill, they have nothing on Disney. |
