The Brookfield zoo is fun - check out the elephants, there used to be a funny one that would wait until the keepers left and then try to use a log to pry the gards off the trees - all the time looking over his shoulder for the keepers - hilarious and a great zoo. Downtown I would stop at Georgios on the south end of the loop and have some of their REALLY deep dish pizza, walk along the lakefront in the park, do some Christmas shopping along Michigan Avenue north of the river (this time of year the animated windows are starting to show up and sometimes the furriers have live manniquins in their windows!) See the old water tower on Michigan and maybe take the open-top bus tour from there, Hit the north end for fondu at a great place called Gehaus for dinner (Cheese, then Oil, then Chocolate) - it is much older than The Melting Pot and super good, catch the late show at the Improv and then catch a liveried carriage back down Michigan Ave at night to where you parked the car or to your train station. If you are museum-types, switch one of these things out andhit the Museum of Art right there on Michigan at the park. The Museum of Science and the Aquarium are cool - but if I had one day, I would make it the Museum of Art - pet the lions at the door and check out their Christmas Wreath "look" - beautiful. You will love it. Avoid making eye contact with the street people and try not to smile at strangers on the street - you can draw some really odd people to you doing that, sadly. Walk briskly and do not get into conversations with people who try to catch your attention, they are looking for visitors to beg from, typically. It is more annoying than anything else, but can waste a lot of your time. Just keep walking right past them. But Michigan Ave and the north end are really nice and busy this time of year, the park is pretty empty when it gets cold but the statues are cool and the lake is great - check out the main fountain in the middle of the park - toss in a coin. We live there for six years and it is so much fun to visit.

ok i hope i will help u out with planning thing.

Well firstly you can plan to go at some park or garden where u are allowed to cook for urself. It can be your back yard garden too.

Ask him what he likes slowly he would join you in cooking,

After having your lunch u can go for the movie or wish u can see blue films in ur home.

Charge him up and then go ahead in the evening you can go out with him for coffe and then dinner.

I've been in Chicago my whole life and here r some recommendations, Navy pier is really nice for unleashing the inner child in u, in navy pier theirs also a theater but id recommend going to amc river east which is 2 blocks away later, fogo de chai is a really good resarount kinda expensive but oober good shopping on michicgan avenue is fun also go to water tower ( it's a shopping mall), maybe muesam campus which is like shedd and field and planaterium, o and john hankock is fun 2 :D right under the john hancock their is the cheesecake factory get a seat inside might be more peaceful near the john hancock and cheesecake factory is water tower so u can just walk their :D hope i was help

Right is very cold in Chicago, just to go dining, theatre, museums, etc. good luck.

The Shedd Aquarium is nice, you can take a horse and carriage ride down town by Buckingham fountain or you could go to the museums or even the Brook field zoo

Signature Room in the top of John Hancock Obsertory gives "okay" food but a great view of the Chicago skyline. Very expensive and you most likely need a reservation on the weekends
