Personally I love the Northeast. Maine Mass and New York.
Niagara Falls is one of my favourites, it is inexpensive and truly a sight to see.

Europe, you can visit London, Italy (Rome, Tuscany and Florence), Paris, Germany and Switzerland all using Euro-star train. it is lovely trip

In MA...

Boston(all areas)
Cape Cod
Plymouth
Basically any beach area.

Though, if you choose Plymouth, i'll fore warn you that there are tourists mostly in downtown plymouth. But, there are plenty of places to go that are not located in that area.

Boston- Millions of choices

Cape Cod- The life is on the beach, basically all beaches.

Come up to Northern California. You can go wine tasting, camping, kayaking, swimming. ANYTHING you want to do!

Depends how much money you have. If you want to spend 3 months you can go somewhere more expensive and spend only 1 month. The places I would tell you to go are, The Dominican Republic or Jamaica.

North Carolina or South Carolina on the coast? It really is beautiful over there. Florida, away from the touristy areas.
Maine is quiet and beautiful. I would probably think Arizona is too but it might be too hot in the summer.
Northern California, north of San Francisco.
Oregon? I've never been but Portland sounds like a great place to visit and spend time.
