By all means you can visit. You have to apply for a visa at the US Embassy in your country. |

Of course. This is the most diverse nation in the world. Sure some people will dislike you for what you look like and for what your culture stands for but that's their opinion. Regardless to whatever is going on in the Middle East people can't think that every person out there is a terrorist. |

I dont know one person that would be mean to you or not welcoming to you.
Orlando is a pretty big tourist attracting town. They're are so many different people there, and every where else in America for that matter. Its very diverse here.
You can come visit me! Although Louisiana isnt much fun unless you like to drink, fish, and hunt! lol |

i have no problem with middle eastern people. or foreigners in general. but if anyone comes here just to ***** about how they dont like the USA, they have something else coming to them, and they can swim back to some other continent. |

It's a shame you have to ask this question. Now wouldn't be an optimal time for you to visit us as many folks are jaded by what's going on in the Iraq, Israel, and the ME in general. Unfortunately we all forget that the majority of folks from that region would like nothing more than to exist peacefully regardless of Israel's existence or nonexistence. What's more of a shame is that you as one of the "regular folks" doesn't speak up and get your regimes to work for peace instead of allowing a useless senseless Jihad to continue. PEACE! |

you would be welcomed in california...i'm sure then you would be welcomed in the rest of the usa. |

I'm pretty sure you'd be okay. I'm not saying all Southerners are nice people, but we're not all ignorant, either. I know if I were to meet you, I'd enjoy the opportunity to meet someone from another country. |

As being Middle Eastern you wouldn’t face any problem from locals in Orlando or Atlanta. However, you can make your trip more safe and convenient by having thorough first hand knowledge. A visit to http://travel.justluxe.com/ may be a good option to get the latest information about the places of your interest. |

You will need a passport and you will need to satisfy all the usual visa requirements.
You will be fingerprinted and photographed on entry at the airport.
You will need to take off your burka for this.
If you follow the saying "when in rome, do as romans do" you should be ok. If you wear a full burka and dont fit in with the normal local custom and looks, you will probably be asking for unwanted attention and trouble.
Watch a few MTV clips and dress like Britney or Beyonce and you will be just fine.....I mean your full length burka wont fit in in Orlando if everyone else is in bikinis and shorts. |

I find it really funny that some people are like "just dont come here" and blah...its like they own the US its like some Americans are acting like the US wasnt owned by the Indians...and most Americans are in the Middle East just for oil and sh!t..so think before you type stupid pr!cks.
But yeah you will be welcomed..not all Americans are stupid :) |

Yes. There are a lot of Middle Eastern tourists where I am, so I doubt it's a problem. |

It is really hard to say. I mean you are talking about people. If you came to my city I would treat you with the respect you deserve. But who am I to say that everyone else would. It is a person to person thing. I think that most bigger cities would be more receptive as they see more people from other countries than any other small towns in the US. Smaller towns are used to not seeing too many visitors whether you are from New York, Tennessee, or Tikrit. If you wore your native dress, you would stick out like a sore thumb and would get more notice as it is not our native garb. If you plan on coming to America, I would suggest looking into where you would be traveling and look into your embassies and look to see if there are any Middle Eastern Centers in the town you are looking into.
You definitely want to go to a big enough town so that they would have a church of your chosen religion. Unless you are Christian. In which case, you would have approximately 1 church every 150 people here in the US. Lol.
As far as how most people here in the US would treat you. I think you would be treated like an American. We are a great melting pot. I know that tensions are high for international travelers after 9/11. But if you stuck to major cities, I think people would for the most part ignore you and tend to their own business. But as I have said, it is a case to case thing and I cannot speak for all Americans.
If you come to America, Enjoy your stay and I hope you are treated fairly. I just hope that if I visited your country, your countrymen would treat me as I would treat you. Although you couldn't speak for your countrymen. We can just hope that everyone you meet isn't a jerk racist. |

Yeah sure, if you dont mind being called terrorist once in awhile...It's true
I am south asian (Muslim) but i am called terrorist at school all the time. One time my gym teacher called me "al qaeda." I got him fired! haha But dont let this blind you to some every welcoming and nice people who aren't racist. I hate black people ... If you say something even slightly stereotypical they get pissed off but they can call you terrorist...F' them man |

There are a lot of Middle Eastern people where I live, I think you'd be fine. Besides, if people have something against Middle Easterners, they just have to deal with it! The world isn't theirs to judge. If you feel treatened, you can always contact the police. |

I really don't think the U.S. would ban an ordinary Middle Eastern person from coming into the country. I'm sure there's lots of them in Orlando and Atlanta. |

I don't see why not as long as you don't start shouting you have a bomb. I have kids wearing those vail things the middle eastern women wear and we don't succlude them or anything. There are enough middle eastern people here it'll be no prob. |
