There are plenty of water fountains and bathrooms. You have to balance between a bag that is too heavy and enough snacks and food for the kids. A GREAT trick is to bring some powdered lemonade, tea, etc (sugar free??) and put them in water bottles that you fill from the fountains. This saves on lots of expensive sodas - just think eight $5 sodas a day for four days adds up to a lot of souvenirs you can buy instead. Also, If you don't like the taste of the water as someone else suggested, you can mask it. Most of the restaurants have soda dispensers - you CANNOT steal the soda, but they will probably let you fill up with ice and water.
Get a map and take note of the bathrooms in the park.
Also - don't show them to the kids before hand, but bring a few inexpensive disney tattoos from walmart and some disney toys to give to the kids while you are waiting in line.

Yes they do have water fountains in the park. You ARE allowed to take food in as well. Keep it simple though, no coolers are allowed, but you can take in sandwiches and snacks inside a backpack. Security checks it but won't say anything about it. I have been there twice, this past Sept most recently. I took in food with no problem. HAVE FUN!! |

Yes, there are water fountains, and you can probably bring your own food, it's really exphensive to eat there so I would suggest that. |

There are water fountains, but the water in Disney (and Orlando in general) is NASTY. It has an odor to it too, I couldn't drink it. |

yup, there are! and they do let you bring some foods, I've had bananas and fruit bars there, like snack foods! Theres a good amount of restrooms, they get crowded at times, but its off season so you should be okay. |

Yes, there are fountains. I've also never had a problem asking for a cup of ice at restaurants to put my own water in. You can also bring your own food, but don't go overboard. We pack water and snacks for everyone along with sandwiches for the kids each time we go and have never had a problem. |

Yes there are water fountains. (There is even a talking water fountain in Future World in Epcot - my kids had a good time with that!).
Some people say the water tastes funny. If you think this will be a problem, try bringing those little single-serving sized drink mix pouches.
Or you could always just have water delivered to your resort before your trip. (See below for more info)
Have fun! |

There are water fountains, but I would recommend staying away from them. I know that a lot of people think the water tastes bad (so do I) but that is not why I recommend avoiding the water fountains. The reason I suggest this is based on my personal observations. I have seen people wash bird poo out of their hair, hold a baby with a dirty bottom up for a wash, and all kinds of other nastiness in the public fountains at Disney.
However, you can still get free, clean water. Every counter service location will give you a free glass of ice water, you just have to ask. If the order or taste is a problem, just mix in a packet of flavoring and you are good to go! |

I just went last week with 4 kiddos age 2-7 so I know what you mean!!! You can bring in snacks and food...that is no problems. There are water fountains in the park...but as some have said they don't taste fantastic.
For me - I freeze a bunch of caprisun juiceboxes then put them in a backpack/diaperbag along with water bottles, lunchables, and indivudual snacks. I hang it on the stoller and leave it there the whole time (no need to worry about it...I have left bags with strollers for years and never had a problem...just keep all real valuables with you) I always carry a mini-backpack for my camera and wallet and all that to take on all the rides with me.
You do have to go through a bag security check...so try to pack where you can easily unzip each compartment a bit and the guard can see what you have in it.
If you happen to be there when they are having the pirate/princess party...buy tickets for that. It is so less crowded...we walked on all the rides Friday night after the day folks had had 90 minute waits!
Plenty of bathroom and Disney also has family bathrooms as well as gender specific so either parents can take girls or boys without worries... |
