Northern Arizona is nice (up in the hills where it is a bit cooler - okay a lot cooler)
Colorado is okay, but not a big fan of snow. |

Depends on which climate you like better.
Personally, I love the snow and gorgeous green landscapes so I choose Colorado.
But if you love warm desert landscapes, Arizona is for you. |

I've lived in both the Denver area (Parker) and Colorado Springs in Colorado as well as in the Phoenix area (Mesa, Scottsdale, Ahwatukee, and Queen Creek), and I can say without reservation that Colorado is definitely the place to live. AZ had it's good points, but they paled in comparison to CO's good points:
AZ (Phoenix):
* Smog/pollution
* Little LA
* Crime
* Traffic
* Old people
* Having to drive 75 mile a day to go to work
* But, the weather was nice, and Scottsdale was a great place to be.
Colorado (Denver):
* Not as much smog
* Much less crime
* Good schools (at least in my district - Douglas County)
* Not as much traffic, and a REAL transportation system with trains and all!
* No old people
* Driving 10 miles to work
* The weather is great - four seasons with mild winters AND summers.
* And the best of all, no tanking economy or housing market! (We already went through that a while ago, it's just a little "off" right now) |

Colorado has gorgeous scenary but so does Arizona; however, Colorado is wetter, cooler, and has more abundant wildlife and fish. Some of the people in Colorado could take a lesson in being civil though. Seems some of them don't like tourists even though the tourists are spending the money that feeds them through the winter. A local was sure upset with some of his nieghbors over this. Didn't find that in Arizona but I still prefer Colorado. We all have a few jackasses mixed in with the good ones. |

Having lived in both I would ultimatly choose Colorado. Mostly based on the weather. You get very tired of having tobe indoors from about 9am till 6 pm in AZ because its too hot to be outside in the summers. Arizona also seems to lack a lot of character compared to Colorado. |

Sedona and the Grand Canyon are great vacation spots, but for living and playing year round there is no place like CO. |

Arizona and Colorado are very similar. I like Colorado better b/c it doesnt get as hot during the summer. |

I am from So. Cal - and after living in Vegas for a while and visiting Az (just across the NV border in the desert as well as Flagstaff) I have to say personally I am more fond of Colorado. Denver is my favorite, and am growing to love it.
The reason for this is that the temperature, while colder in the winter seem to be a bit more even keel - you get your seasons which is nice. There also seems to be more things to do in Co. in the way of camping, hiking, wild life etc - and when you want a break from nature ---- the city is right there. |

I've lived in both Ft. Collins and Phoenix.
I guess it depends on where in AZ or CO your talking about, but between Ft. Collins and Phoenix, I like Phoenix better. |
