At disney world do you have to pay to go on rides and to watch the musicals?

Im trying to plan a family vacation and I found ticket prices but i was wondering if you pay extra to go on rides and see the plays or if it comes it with just buying the ticket into the theme park?

You only pay for the admission. The rides and shows are free.

Ha, don't give Walt's team any ideas! Your ticket grants you admission to the park, rides, shows, etc. You pay for your own souvenirs, lockers, wheelchair rental (if necessary), and of course, food. Other than that the cost of your ticket is enough! Enjoy and have fun!

I think your question has been fairly well answered, but just a few things that might not still be clear:

The short answer: All attractions inside the parks are included with park admission. This includes all "rides" as well as any plays/musicals/shows. There are generally no attractions within any of the four parks that have a separate charge. There are several on-property attractions (such as Disney Quest, Cirque Du Soleil, etc) that are an additional cost, however they are not within the boundaries of the four main theme parks (Disney Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Magic Kingdom).

As has been said, food and merchandise is generally a separate charge.

More details and info:
Fast Pass (as someone else called it - "fast track") is a system that is included free of charge with your park admission. Simply insert a valid park ticket into the fastpass machine, and you will recieve a printed out ticket telling you a window of time during which you can return and bypass most (but usually not *all*) of the attraction's queue/line. It can be very useful for the more popular attractions, and allows you to stroll the parks and do other things rather than spending an hour or more waiting in a long line.

Ticket options vary greatly at WDW, however, if you are only planning on this one visit for the time being, and are unsure if/when you'll return, a "magic your way" multi-day pass is my recommendation. I would also invest the extra money in the park hopper option. It's only a bit more expensive, but it allows you to visit any or all 4 parks on the same day without wasting a "day" off of your ticket "allowance."

Additionally, it's only a few dollars more to add days onto a magic your way ticket... that's not a misprint or typo, it's literally only like $2 extra to add a 5th, 6th, 7th, etc day to a multi-day ticket. It just makes sense to purchase a ticket for the entire length of your Disney vacation, and then you don't have to worry about how many days you have left on your park pass.

The other advantage of a hopper pass is that if you want to spend the morning at one park, then spend the evening at a park that's open an extra 3 hours for "magic hours" you can do so. It basically give you complete freedom to come and go at all 4 parks any time you please during your stay.

If you choose *not* to get the "hopper" option, you'll save a bit of money, but you'll be limited to visiting just one park per day. You'll be allowed to leave the park and come back later, but not visit a *different* park on that same day. This may be ok for you if you're not interested in visiting 2 or more parks on a single day, and may help save you a few hundred dollars.

Enjoy your trip!

whoknows
nope i just got back from disney a couple of weeks ago and once you pay to get in all of the attractions are free but eating sure isn't or suviners

no why would ylou think that after spending $71 plus tax that it would be like a county fair where you have to pay for the individual rides???

you pay $71 and you get to enjoy all of the rides, musical shows, stunt shows, parades, fireworks, everything at no extra charge.
the only things you have to pay for is if you are going to eat, shop, go on a guided tour, or any other special events such as mickey's very merrry christmas party.

and someone said you have to pay for "fast track" first of all its not called "fast track" its called "fast pass" and it DOESN'T cost anything to use it.
there are machines infront of alot of the rides that you just put your park ticket in and it pops out a slip that tells you to come back at a certain time to ride the ride. then when you come back you go into the fast pass line and get on the ride quicker than just waiting in the regualr line.
not all rides have this cuz not all rides need it cuz not all rides have really long lines.

no sweetheart.. after you buy your ticket to get into the park, the rides and parades are all free..

your best plan of action is to buy disney's 5-day hopper passes which are good for life, they never expire. U dont have to use it 5 days in a row either. and its good for all the parks to get in. say u want only 3 days at disney, that would mean u have 2 hopper days left which can be used next month next year or in five years. i would really recommend this because if u buy tickets at the door and someone gets sick or the weather turns bad, theres no returning but with the hopper passes u can switch parks or return another year---u also get a parking pass!!!!

We are going in September and we booked our reservations for a Disney Resort Hotel, theme park tickets, dining plan and more are included in our package. It's called "Disney's Magic Your Way package plus FREE Dining. Google it or try to find it on the Disney website. Our package deal may not be available now. I think you had to book it by 6/22. But there should be other Magic Your Way packages plus dining. It is WORTH it and it is a great deal.

I've been to Disney by booking this package before and you save lots of money this way.

Some shows are not included in your regular theme park ticket prices...like Cirque du Soleil La Nouba is a totally separate price and is at Downtown Disney. It is worth the expensive cost--a must see !

The rides are free but it costs money to go on the fast track which bumps you ahead of the line. (Not too much for the family I'm pretty sure) A lot of the shows in the park are free as well. The only things you should be paying for is food and souveniers.
