Best place to stay in Vegas?

What is the best value on the strip? My husband and I are going in July and I'd like to stay somewhere nice that is not going to break the bank. We are a married couple in our late twenties. Where will we get the nicest room for the money? We will be staying on a Wednesday and Thursday night. Not looking for the single scene, so it doesn't need to have a real party atmosphere.

Priceline can get you a good deal on a 4 star usually.

If you want to stay on the strip but not spend alot of money try Treasure Island. Excalubur is cheap but full of kids!!!, Bally's and Harrahs are cheaper as well, but not as nice as Treasure Island.

Good luck, and have fun.

fade_this_rally
The Pink Flamingo is the best value

dekkerman2002
The Red Rock Casino is beautiful but is not downtown.

I love the Bellagio, it is so nice inside.

Mandalay Bay also has good summer rates.

The Palms is also offering summer rates right now.

Don't stay on the strip! Stay downtown where the real feel of Vegas is. The Golden Nugget is a very highly rated hotel/ casino and it is reasonably priced. It is awesome. And if you really want to go to the strip, there is a bus terminal very close by that you can take to the strip if you decide to visit it for a while. But once you stay downtown, you really won't want to venture anywhere else. You can see the legendary Horseshoe casino downtown too.

Whats the officer, problem?
the MGM Grand is good for the price

wouldnt recommend the tropicana though

maybe try looking here:

Circus Circus is definitely the cheapest on the strip (some nights as low as $30) but it is not that nice.

The following are priced pretty well for being on the strip:
NY NY
Monte Carlo
MGM
Planet Hollywood

Idiot kid
NY NY is awesome!

Look it up on the below website it tells you price range and the number of stars. I stayed at the Bellagio last year during the summer and it was great, only downside was that it was pretty expensive. Unless you bid for your rooms, then try something a bit farther out of the strip. Places like MGM are way too expensive. Have fun in Vegas!!!!

I use to live there. The best place for your money would have to be the Rio or Treasure Island. Rio has great buffets.

you may be better off staying downtown and skipping the extra cost for the strip. Hubby and I have gone a couple times. First time was what was Aladdin and now Planet Hollywood. We stayed on a restricted floor for our honeymoon. It was nice, but we were hardly in the room, so not worth the price. This last Feb stayed at Excalibur. Didnt like it at all. You can take a bus to downtown and back, 15 or 20 minute ride depending where you board and get off. The slots on Fremont tend to be looser, and the prices are definitely cheaper. You also get more perks because they are trying to compete with the hooplah of the bigger hotels. Chances are you will spend most of your time on the strip regardless of where you stay. The bus is $5.50 for a 24 hr pass (literally 24 - if you buy it at 2:14 pm, it will expire 2:14pm the next day), and if you don't want to deal with too many overly drunk people, Fremont is a nice escape

Caesars
Basically middle of the Strip, or short cab rides back if walked too far.
Either Cher or Elton should be there at that time. If interested get your tickets now.

Hi,

very impressive high quality and not expensive holidays you can find here:

I think that the best value on the Strip is probably Excalibur its not flash but its clean has large rooms and a great location, however if the pool scene is for you than you are better off elsewhere as the pool is not as good as elsewhere. Good unbiased review here.
http://vegasuncovered.wordpress.com/2008/05/14/excalibur-las-vegas-nv-my-review/

As you are midweek you will benefit from the best prices, I woudl have a look at Mirage its outr favourite hotel on the Strip great location, great service, lovely rooms a on of teh best pools in Vegas, they have the Cirque show LOVE on there and Mystere next door. Mirage is a step above MGM etc its lovely. The link below is directly to the hotel and rates are from $72 per night, which is a bargain and i think the best deal in Vegas at this moment in time.
https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookingengine.aspx?host=promo&pid=160&code=RRDLUX08&kbid=542076

Manadalay Bay is lovely and these rates again direct with the hotel are a bit more starting at $109
https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookingengine.aspx?pid=mbh&host=promo&code=spfaff&kbid=542076

The Splash promotion at Monte Carlo is great value form $60
but the building work at City Centre does take away any tranquility you were hoping for at the pool.

For me the Mirage every time I hope this helps you

Try Planet Hollywood, MGM Grand, Flamingo, Harrah's, or TI. Any one of those casinos offer good prices, rooms and ambiance you're looking for. Also, on weekdays most casinos rooms are cheaper than on weekends, so you can really find good rooms at bargain prices. Check out the website below and have fun.

Check out www.kayak.com for room rates.

NYNY might be good. Ask for room not near the roller coaster. Hooters open? Call them up.

Belagio Suite

or The Ceasar Palace

The Flamingo is the best!
It has a great location too.
New York New York is pretty nice too, but the location sucks.

I just received a promotion that the Venetian and Palazzo are having this summer. During the week the rooms are going for $159 a night. This is half the regular cost and you will be amazed at what they look like. Three large flat screen tv in every suite. Real luxury. Might be worth $300 for two nights. Just go to their website and look for their special rates.

Tropicana is affordable and at a good location by the south part of the strip.
