Between the Paris Hotel & Casino in Vegas and the Mirage hotel & Casino in Vegas which is better?

I'm looking for better as far as accomodations and proximity to the other hotels on the strip.

Paris is more centrally located.

The best way to get a birds eye view of Vegas is to go to MSN Maps and select aerial view - type in the addresses of the 2 hotels and you will get a satellite picture view of the strip - you can zoom in down to street level. I used this for my first time out there.

It depends what you r into. I love the Mirage!! They have excellent night clubs and a Great bar!!! Chocolate Martinis!!! lol... no seriously I believe the mirage is the best pick.

Paris. It is right in the middle of everything. As far as accomodations you can't really go wrong with either they are both fine places the Paris is just located in a better spot.

I live in Vegas and it really doesn't matter which you stay in. The rates are within a couple of dollars of each other and both have good locations. With the busses and monorail you can get to any part of the strip in a matter of minutes.
The only thing you really have to decide is which has the better theme and ambience. My choice is Paris. It has several nice things going for it: a reproduction of a Parisian street for one. The Mirage is pretty boring compared to that but does have some rather nice shops. It's really just a matter of what you want.
Hope you enjoy your stay here.

I would stay at the Mirage - it is close to Ceasars and not too far from the Venetian. The Paris is too smokey for me.

Both are pretty good---Paris is in a little bit better of a location (more central strip)---however the Mirage is not too far from there.

Mirage is older than Paris, so my personal opinion would be to stay at Paris. That hotel also has better restaurants too.

Daisy Mae
Both are fantastic. The POOL at the Mirage is just gorgeous. Very tropical.

TropicSon
A total toss-up. Depends on what you like. Both are very nice but being female, stay at the Paris.

Daniel G
Definately the Mirage. I have stayed there over 20 times and it has a much greater atmosphere.
The hotel is just as central as the Paris. The Paris is quite dull inside.
Enjoy!

I prefer The Mirage. Paris is newer and nicer. Both have good locations on The Strip. But the truth is you won't spend much time in your room. The hotels make it to where there is nothing to do in your rooms but sleep and shower. No cable TV, no minibar, no fridge, microwaves, or coffee makers. Even the nicer hotels have very few amenities in the rooms. They don't want you in the room because you're not spending money. I used to pick out the fancy hotels to stay at. Now I go cheap room, such The Imperial Palace, and save the rest of my money for shopping, shows, gambling, etc.
