how long ago did u get your license MORE INFO PLEASE. i had my license for 3 or 4 months when i drove to florida from ohio. i will admit i was pretty scared myself and damn near drove my car off an overpass, luckily my car was still in one peice. It just depends if u think your a good driver or not i guess. the highway isn't to bad to drive on u just have to stay alert and watch for signs. good luck on your journey. |

follow the speed limits and youll be fine. stick to the major freeways and try to stay out of big cities. also under no circumstances should you go to a rest stop at nite or pick up a hitchiker |

Most states have a curfew for minors. for instance in the town i live in its midnight for anyone under 18. so if your under 18 you can't drive between midnight and 5. and if you just got your license i would NOT advise that long of a drive. it's just dangerous. don't underestimate the interstate |

Can you read a map? If so, have at it but be careful! |

Of course you can. But it will take you forever. You should plan your route carefully before you leave, even with your GPS |

Um, I dont know, why can't you--you're not on house arrest or anything, are you?
If you have a valid driver's license (NOT a permit), you can drive wherever you want. BUT! if you are under 18, you might want to check out "curfew laws" in the states you might be driving through. |

Bad idea. At least take a friend. I have driven that same distance and it is not for just one person. You need to also plan to stop a night for a break. |

Sure, highway driving is usally safer than in town driving. Statisically, you're most likely to get in an accident within 5 miles of your home. |

It would depend on the laws in your state of what a newly licensed driver is allowed to do. In some states there is like a 6 month period with certain restrictions. Check your state laws but if you just got your license you should know them anyway. |

As long as NY doesn't have any laws against it, you should be able to. And as long as your parents let you, I don't see why not... (assuming you're a teenage driver) I would only do it if you're comfortable driving on highways, though. |
