Luggage is sooooo cheap at walmart, buy one. Don't use a box, it could get busted up or worse. |

You can for non-carry on stuff. My family usually packs food and a bunch of other junk (Asian family) in cardboard boxes and use one of our luggage slots for a package. |

no you can't use a cardboard box.....they throw your stuff under the plane. if you use a cardboard box your stuff will fly all over the place...cause you know the cardboard box will break, or fall apart! |

You can and people do check boxes for airline travel but be prepared to answer alot of questions regarding the boxes contents when checking it.
I checked boxes while traveling that contained gifts bought in a foreign country on my return trip. Also expect the box to be opened and searched under current security standards.
I think the suggestion of borrowing luggage is good or using duffle bags if possible. It is easier to carry- and search by security staff. |

I don't think so, call the airline. |

A cardboard box will fall apart because they handle the luggage very roughly. You can buy a suitcase for under $50 at many stores: TJ Maxx, Ross, Tuesday Morning, etc. |

You can use a cardboard box but you'll need to check it and make sure it can be opened by the inspectors. If you want a carry on, just use a bag. |

No I doubt |

I don't think so. Surely you know someone you can borrow from. If not there are some very reasonably priced small suitcases available at Target, or Walmart. You could even try an ebay buy it now to get it quicker. |
