I'm Canadian, and I would personally shoot myself if I forgot any of the 50 states. I know Canadians that don't know how many states there are - one time back in high school someone wondered how many states there were, and nobody in the class knew, so one student actually looked on a map and announced to the class "there are 51 states!". I've also heard of people who asked "what state is New York City in?" and thought there was a state called East Virginia. |
