it depends on the hotel..check with their policys.. some require the person to be at least 21 years old, some at least 18 years old, and some dont care what the age.. as long as the rooms paid for! |

also the issue is NOT the credit card, ALL hotels and motels have a standard auth form that can be used to use a third party card. It is the age. It is always at least 18, and sometimes 21. |

doubtful. you are too young to get a hotel in your name and mom will probably need to be there to sign for the room. It is unsafe for unaccompanied minors to travel alone anyway. Stay home and read a good book. |

Actually, California is more strict than most states and you have to be 21 to check into a hotel there. You might get away with it if your mom calls ahead of time, but watch out. My friends and I went on a road trip and ended up sleeping in the car because no California hotels would let us stay (and we were 19 and 20). Good luck! |

Legally, you cannot book a room yourselves. And if there is no adult present, that gives the hotel a HUGE liability. I don't know any hotel that would accept that, although you can try. |

You are supposed to be 18 in the state of California. However, a smaller hotel or independent motel chain may allow it. It doesn't hurt to call around. Since one of you will be 17, which is the age of many college students, they may allow it if you present the same credit card at check in with a notorized statement from your mom. You might try calling around and suggesting this. The signature on the statement will match the signature on the card. Try Buena Park instead of Anaheim. There are a lot of smaller motels because of Knott's Berry Farm and if you are not driving here then there is a Metro bus that will take you the 5 minutes to Disneyland. |

Depends on the hotel. Most desk clerks would be leery of it, since you could always have stolen the credit card or fraudulently booked online. |

Your mom can book a hotel room for anyone using a card. However, the hotel may not accept payment to her card without her presence. Have her ask the hotel what would be needed for her to reserve the room for you and your friend. Be sure she tells them your ages, how long you'll be staying and how you'll be paying for the room. |

hey there, everytime i book a hotel i use my mums card and the person on the card doesnt have to be the one thats staying there. usually you pay just a booking fee and then pay the outstanding balance on the room or you pay in full. either way they dont usually care as long as youre not dodgy looking or a prostitute or whatever. youll be fine.. dont worry so much! or fone them and see incase youre really worried about it. x |
