The answer is YES. You can get married drunk.

However, you can't use this as grounds for divorce since they will not issue you a license if you are under the influence. Therefor you have to make the decision to marry while of clear mind! This prevents people from getting married on accident. If you went into the DMV wasted they would toss you out... same thing. So the storyline from Friends wouldn't have really happened. As for Brittany... she doesn't seem to think through her actions.

I think so, b/c I was left a vm on my cellphone and the guy was totally wasted and he said on the vm that he was in vegas and just got married, and then preceeded to tell me how much he loved me and can't wait to come home and be with me... granted he dialed the wrong phone number, b/c I wasn't the person he had said I was. Needless to say, one of the funniest vms ever left on my vm. Guy drunk off his rocker, tells me he just got married in vegas, but loves me instead, go figure!!!

THe only place in Vegas that might give you a tough time is the Drive Thru Wedding Chapel. But the crime would be DUI. There are a few chapels here that serve drinks in the waiting room. So get good and tanked - it makes great stories.

Yes you can. I think they made it so you can't get a marriage license from midnight-6 am now, but you can still get married during that time!

But im sure there is a limit. If you are too drunk to speak or stand up most place would not perform the servce.

Any chapel has the right to refuse to marry you for what ever the reason. Most don't care. They will not issue you a license though if you show up there to get one. But once you get one you are pretty much free to do it. Sad to say but true.
